Royal Scots Greys Regimental Tie
The Royal Scots Greys were one of the most celebrated cavalry regiments in British military history, raised in 1678 and distinguished by their grey horses — the only regiment in the British Army to be mounted entirely on greys. They are perhaps best remembered for the charge at Waterloo in 1815, immortalised in Lady Butler's painting Scotland Forever!, where the Greys swept through Napoleon's infantry in one of the most dramatic cavalry actions in history. They served with equal distinction in the Crimea, the Boer War and both World Wars before amalgamating with the 3rd Carabiniers to form the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1971 — a regiment that went on to top the charts in 1972 with Amazing Grace.
This regimental tie carries the Greys' colours with the same dash and flair the regiment was always known for.
