Royal Irish Rangers Regimental Tie
The Royal Irish Rangers were formed in 1968 from the amalgamation of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, the Royal Ulster Rifles and the Royal Irish Fusiliers — three regiments with a combined Irish military tradition stretching back to the late 17th century. Drawing on that deep well of fighting spirit, the Rangers served in Northern Ireland during some of the most demanding years of the Troubles before amalgamating into the Royal Irish Regiment in 1992. The regiment carried the harp and the shamrock with the fierce pride and dark humour that has always characterised the Irish soldier in British service.
This regimental tie is a mark of that heritage — for those who served with the Rangers and those who honour what they stood for.
