Formed on 23 April 1968 through the amalgamation of four distinguished Fusiliers regiments, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers carries a long tradition of courage and service from the World Wars through Northern Ireland, the Gulf, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.

About the badge

The composite badge brings together St George slaying the Dragon, a blue and gold belt bearing the Garter motto Honi soit qui mal y pense, and a laurel wreath, surmounted by the King's Crown. Each element reflects the heritage of the regiment's predecessor units and its continuing service under King Charles III.
