Regimental Heritage
Formed in 1966, the Royal Green Jackets brought together the traditions of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, the King’s Royal Rifle Corps and the Rifle Brigade. The regiment became part of The Rifles in 2007, with its heritage carried forward by veterans and serving riflemen.
The badge features a Maltese Cross with a central medallion bearing a bugle horn, a traditional light infantry symbol. The silver and black finish reflects the regiment’s distinctive dark-uniform tradition.
