Regimental heritage
Known as the Prussian Eagle or “The Hawk”, the badge was awarded in 1798 to the 14th Light Dragoons by Crown Princess Frederica of Prussia. The King’s Royal Hussars were formed in 1992 through the amalgamation of the 14th/20th King’s Hussars and the 15th/19th The King’s Royal Hussars, carrying this distinctive badge into a new regiment.
