Army Air Corps Regimental Tie
The Army Air Corps is the British Army's aviation arm, formed in 1957 to bring rotary and fixed-wing aviation under a single corps. From the jungles of Borneo and the streets of Belfast to the mountains of the Falklands and the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, AAC pilots and aircrew have provided reconnaissance, close support and casualty evacuation in every major British operation of the last six decades.
The Apache attack helicopter, the Wildcat and the Gazelle have all been flown under the AAC's distinctive blue beret and eagle badge — a corps that operates at the intersection of soldiering and aviation, where the demands of both are uncompromising.
