The Airbus A320 is a medium range, single aisle airliner that was introduced into service with Air France in 1988. It has variants such as the A318, A319 and A321, which all vary in body length. American Airlines is the largest operator with 479 A320’s in its fleet. In 2019, the A320 family became the best selling airliner with a total of 18,460 aircraft ordered. The type is operated by over 350 carriers globally.
