11th Hussars Regimental Tie — Silk
The 11th Hussars — the Prince Albert's Own — are one of the most celebrated cavalry regiments in British military history. Raised in 1715, they rode at the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava in 1854, a moment immortalised by Tennyson and etched permanently into the British military consciousness. In the Second World War they served as an armoured car regiment, leading the advance into Tripoli in 1943 and being among the first Allied troops to enter both Brussels and Berlin. Amalgamated into the Royal Hussars in 1969, their crimson trousers and distinctive cherry-coloured overalls made them one of the most recognisable regiments in the Army.
