Royal Highland Fusiliers Regimental Tie
The Royal Highland Fusiliers were formed in 1959 from the amalgamation of the Royal Scots Fusiliers and the Highland Light Infantry, uniting two of Scotland's most distinguished infantry regiments with roots stretching back to 1678 and 1777 respectively.
The RHF brought together the fusilier tradition of the Lowlands with the Highland light infantry ethos — a combination that produced one of the most capable and battle-hardened Scottish regiments of the post-war era. They served in Cyprus, Aden, Northern Ireland, the Gulf and Bosnia before amalgamating into the Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2006 as the 2nd Battalion. The hackle and the tartan were worn with the fierce pride that Glasgow and the west of Scotland have always brought to their soldiering.
This regimental tie carries the RHF's colours with that same pride — for those who served, and those who remember.
