PWO YORKS Regimental Tie
The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire traces its lineage to 1685, making it one of the oldest infantry regiments in the British Army. Formed from the amalgamation of the West Yorkshire Regiment and the East Yorkshire Regiment in 1958, the PWO served with distinction across the Cold War, Northern Ireland, the Balkans and the Gulf before becoming part of the Yorkshire Regiment in 2006. The White Rose of Yorkshire and the Prince of Wales's feathers remain enduring symbols of a proud county regiment.
