We Do Not Retreat.
The 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards — known affectionately as The Skins — lived their motto, Vestigia nulla retrorsum (We do not retreat), in every theatre they served. Formed in 1922, they saw service across Egypt, Palestine, and India before the Second World War brought them to the front line in northern France.
They fought through the desperate retreat to Dunkirk, and kept fighting. By the time Germany surrendered, The Skins were in Hamburg — a regiment that had gone the full distance without ever looking back.
This three-fold silk reppe tie carries their regimental colours with the timeless quality that only Benson & Clegg can deliver. Crafted in London by holders of a Royal Warrant, it is a tie that honours a regiment who never retreated — in battle or in standards.
