The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders are one of Scotland's greatest Highland regiments — and one of the most celebrated in the entire British Army. It was the Argylls who held the line at Balaclava in 1854 — the famous Thin Red Line — standing firm against the Russian cavalry in one of the most iconic moments in British military history.
