History.
The Maserati MC20, unveiled in September 2020, marks Maserati’s bold return to the supercar segment. Its name stands for Maserati Corse 2020, highlighting both its racing heritage and new era of innovation. Developed in Modena, Italy, the MC20 was the brand’s first all-new mid-engined supercar in decades, following the iconic MC12 of 2004. Central to its identity is the Nettuno engine, a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 with patented Formula 1–inspired pre-chamber combustion technology, delivering over 620 hp. The lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque ensures agility, while its design blends Italian elegance with aerodynamic efficiency. The MC20 also laid the foundation for an all-electric “MC20 Folgore” variant, reinforcing Maserati’s ambition to combine motorsport DNA with modern performance and sustainability.
